Laura Chicarello is a horn lessons teacher and performer in the Dallas and Fort Worth metroplex, maintaining a studio of over 50 private students. She has appeared as a lecturer and Regional Artist at several horn workshops, including the 2018 Mid-South Horn Workshop, where she gave a lecture titled, “Chops of Steel: Developing an Efficient Embouchure in Beginner Players.” Laura has played with the San Angelo Symphony Orchestra, Irving Symphony Orchestra, and Lone Star Wind Orchestra, as well as several orchestras in Louisiana, including the Shreveport, Baton Rouge, and Rapides Symphony Orchestras. She also performed at the Pierre Monteux School and Music Festival for two summers. An active chamber musician, she is a member of the Cor Dallas horn quartet, Timberland Brass quintet, and horn duo CB2. Laura holds a Master of Music degree from Northwestern State University of Louisiana and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of New Hampshire. While not performing or teaching, Laura enjoys distance running and eating Tex Mex, but not at the same time.
