Brett’s Story

Brett Ramirez

Brett was a student at Rockwall High School when he first attended his first CorDallas Horn Camp. He was the Section Leader of his Horn Section and the highest-ranked Hornist at his school. Beyond his accomplishments during that time, Brett’s attention to detail as well as dedication to his craft is what first impressed his music teachers.

“What I liked most about horn camp was being surround by so many fantastic educators and players. It really helped my playing takeoff, because I was given a ton of new perspectives into how to improve myself as a player. Attending camp helped me realize that I want to play horn professionally, and I give a ton of credit to the staff.”

-Brett Ramirez

Brett is a current student at the Texas Tech University School of Music studying Horn Performance. He earned positions in the top wind ensembles, orchestras, horn ensembles, and performs with the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra as a College Sophomore. Brett aspires to attend Summer Music Festivals, perform in symphony orchestras, and take on every opportunity that he can with enthusiasm.

As a CorDallas Alum, Brett is now an annual collegiate speaker at the CorDallas Horn Camps, speaking on: College Marching Band, Basketball Band, opportunities for music majors and non-music majors, and answers all student questions gracefully. We are immensely proud of Brett!
